Author's Notes: I bought the Old Navy swing collection CD while I was on vacation in the States, and this song surely put some ideas in my head! I hope I got the lyrics right for this vidfic. Just think of this happening after Goku's second death. Is that convenient enough?
Comin' Home Baby
A slow jazzy beat is starting as Goku is walking on Snake Way. Some of Princess Snake's servant girls follow him and go "Do-do-do" (as the backup singers) as he passes by.
Goku: *singing as he sends a telepathic message to Chi-Chi* I'm comin' home baby now. I'm comin' home now right away. I'm comin' home baby now. I'm sorry now I ever went away. Every night now baby I'm gonna stay.
Goku completely passes the servant girls. Chi-Chi is back at their house furiously cleaning the place. She perks up when she hears him.
Goku: I'm comin' home baby.
Chi-Chi: *singing* Come on home.
Goku: Comin' home baby now. *smiles*
Chi-Chi: *crosses her arms* You know I'm waiting there for you.
Goku: I'm comin' home now re~al soon.
Chi-Chi: *pouts* You've been gone.
Goku: *gives puppy dog eyes* Comin' home baby now.
Chi-Chi: *smiles slyly* You don't know what I'm gonna do.
Goku: *blushes* I'm comin' home, I know I'm overdue.
Chi-Chi: *dramatically holds her arms out* Since you went away...
Goku: *taps at his wrist band* Expect me any day...
Both: Now real soon.
Split screen as Goku continues walking along Snake Way and Chi-Chi makes her way to their bedroom.
Goku: I'm comin' home.
Chi-Chi: *enters room* Come on home.
Goku: Comin' home baby now.
Chi-Chi: *kneels beside the bed* You know I'm praying every night.
Goku: And everything is gonna be fine.
Chi-Chi: *sits on bed* Please come home.
Goku: Comin' home baby now.
Chi-Chi: *wraps her arms around herself* I want to feel you hold me tight.
Goku: Expect to see me now anytime.
Chi-Chi: *gets off of bed and twirls around, still hugging herself* When I'm in your arms...
Goku: *holds his arms out as if he's hugging her* When you're in my arms...
Both: G: I'll be fine. CC: I feel all right. *both drop their arms to the side and move on*
Goku continues walking as Chi-Chi moves out of the bedroom and into the kitchen.
Goku: I'm comin' home.
Chi-Chi: *picks up marker* Come on home.
Goku: I'm comin' home baby now.
Chi-Chi: *marks the days off a calendar* You know I'm countin' every day.
Goku: I'm comin' home now. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chi-Chi: *sits by the phone* Use the phone.
Goku: I'm comin' home baby now.
Chi-Chi: *picks up receiver* And baby let me hear you say.
Goku: *holds his hand up to his ear with his thumb in his ear and pinky sticking out* I'm comin' home. You're hearing what I say.
Chi-Chi: *sings into receiver* That you're comin' home...
Goku: *singing into his pinky finger* And I never will...
Both: Go away. *both of them hang up*
Goku: *jumps in the air and clicks his boot heels* I'm comin' home!
During the musical break, Chi-Chi is in the kitchen cooking up a storm and what she'll do to him while Goku's thinking about food and his family.
Chi-Chi: *stirring some soup in pot* Come on home.
Goku: *licks his lips* I'm comin' home baby now.
Chi-Chi: *looks at their front door* You know I'm waiting at the door.
Goku: *jumps forward* They can't hold me back now, no~o more.
Chi-Chi: *frowns* All alone.
Goku: *picks up his walking pace* I'm pressing on baby now.
Chi-Chi: *looks down sadly* And they say I've been down the floor.
Goku: *smiles slyly* Oh, hear me holler and hear me roar.
Chi-Chi: *looks up hopefully* Say you'll be with me...
Goku: *looks up* Gonna be with you...
Both: Ever more!
Goku: *smiles* I'm comin' home!
Chi-Chi: Come on home.
Goku: I'm comin' home baby now.
Chi-Chi: *looks hopeful* Oh baby say you're comin' home.
Goku: *nods his head* That's what I say, I say I'm comin' home.
Chi-Chi: *frowns* Something's wrong.
Goku: *frowns* The road is long baby now.
Chi-Chi: *waves her finger* You're too eager to write or phone.
Goku: *holds his left hand up while his right hand is on his heart, like he's making a pledge* I'm comin' home and never more to roam.
Chi-Chi: Baby tell me you're...
Goku: Baby I'm for sure...
Both: Comin' ho~ome!
Goku: I'm comin' home.
Chi-Chi: Come on home.
Goku: I'm comin' home baby now.
Chi-Chi: Come on home.
Goku: *excitedly* I'm comin' home baby now.
The music fades away with the two of them each singing the last two lines. Goku then flies at top speed to the end of Snake Way.
